Jawahar Kala Kendra
Jawahar Kala Kendra is a multi-arts centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan, designed by architect Charles Correa and completed in the early 1990s. The walled complex is organised as a nine-square Navagraha mandala that echoes Jaipur's original city plan, and it integrates galleries, museums, performance spaces, an open-air central theatre called Madhyavati, and a library of about 20,000 books focused on art and culture. The centre was created by the Government of Rajasthan to preserve Rajasthani arts and crafts and regularly stages theatre productions, folk festivals, exhibitions, and artist residencies. Visitors typically wander the courtyarded pavilions to see miniature paintings, craft displays, and live performances.
